Why Catocala?

I have always loved the poetry of moths

This tiny creature is understated but also deeply connected to the human experience.

Woven into our stories of life and death, metamorphosis, change and rebirth, the moth is called in darkness, as if by intuitive knowing, towards light.

The Catocala moth is camouflaged like birch bark, but in flight its underwings reveal brilliant colour; a reminder that there is a natural essence within each of us. Though it may feel camouflaged to even ourselves, this essence is waiting to be rediscovered when we attune to it.
